Why start now? The year is almost over.
There are two times of the year when people start fresh. Naturally, the new year but also September – when the kids are back in school. (Of course, 2020 is a wee different. Most students will continue virtual learning for a period of time.)
Perhaps you set out early this year to further your wellness journey but like many got derailed when COVID occurred. Imagine moving into 2021 well on your way to meeting your wellness goals. Ask yourself:
Where do I want to be by the end of 2020? Do I want to be in the same place, or do I want to have made great strides in my health?
What are the assessment tools?
The tools provide self-assessments and additional insights into areas of your health and wellness.
Insights such as eating attitudes, emotional eating, depression, stress, sleep, and my BE FREE Quiz. BE FREE is an acronym for the six principles I identified for improving health and wellness: Behavior, Environment, Food, Rest and Relaxation, Exercise, Emotional and Spiritual Health.
Assessments do not provide right or wrong answers, just good insight for you.
What is the purpose of the 3-day food log?
Keeping a log is a tool to help you identify eating habits and nutrient intake. Look at it in a scientific way like you’re doing research on yourself, not to judge. And don’t worry – I don’t judge either!
We decide what to eat, when to eat, and even whether to eat for a variety of reasons. Examine the factors influencing your food choices by keeping a food diary for 24 hours. I have a Food Log form for you to use. It asks not just what your eating, but when, where, hunger level, and feelings.
You might recall it was one of the topics in my Monday morning weekly emails when we worked together. Trying to remember at day’s end is a challenge. Research shows people consistently underestimate by at least 20 percent. I encourage you to keep the log handy. I also ask you to be honest with yourself. What’s the adage…garbage in, garbage out?
I’ve been an adjunct professor at Dallas College – Richland Campus for over 22 years. One of the assignments my students do is their own 3-day. They do their own analysis using a course tool. Consistently it’s one of the most valued assignments.
Why do I need to check in every day the first week?
The purpose of the 24-hour plan is to help you focus, for 24 hours at a time only!
The plan will not be what you think you should eat or what you think Neily wants to hear. Be realistic. If you’ve never cooked a meal in your life, then don’t write that you’re going to make a home-cooked meal.
The next morning you’ll review your plan and assess (not judge) what went well and what could have gone better. And make one thing to make your next 24 hours better.
What is the Monday Weekly Habit Planner?
Change does not have to be difficult. I make it easy for you to develop the ongoing habits so you are in the best position to meet your wellness goals.
After the initial week of 24-hour plans, you will check in every Monday (or Sunday if that is when you plan) with my Weekly Habit Planner helping you track and stay on target week-to-week
What if I need more one-on-one support after the 10 weeks?
No worries! I’ve got you covered. You’ll always have access to me. Follow up programs and ongoing accountability will always be available.
I have acquaintances who would benefit from this. Can I invite them?
I would love to have more people, but this program is an offer only to existing clients. Because we’ve worked together, we will be able to go fast and deep more easily.
Please share this link for your acquaintances to review my current program and set an appointment for a free call.
